De Lelylijn

De Lelylijn is the proposed train connection between the Northern Netherlands and the Randstad. No final decision has yet been made on its construction, route, stations or type of train connection. De Lelylijn is more than just a train connection. In addition to a good connection, we are investigating if we can achieve more with the Lelylijn.

The Lelylijn project aims to identify the possibilities and potential value of the Lelylijn, including the investments needed. At the end of 2024, the Lelylijn project organization will deliver the research results so that administrators can decide whether the project can move to the next phase. The project is a collaboration between the state, regional governments, ProRail, the Department of Public Works and the Water Boards.
