Research
The Lelylijn project aims to identify the potential and potential value of the Lelylijn, including the investments needed. Results will be announced soon. And then it will be decided whether De Lelylijn will enter the next phase.
In this video, we take you through the five studies:
The De Lelylijn project organization is working on five studies:
Examining De Lelylijn’s alternatives.
This study explored several alternatives to Lelylijn, identifying transportation value, travel times and costs.
NOVEX Development perspective
The Development Perspective is a spatial future sketch of the NOVEX area Lelylijn containing a promising Lelylijn, including appropriate area development. The future sketch assumes a bundling of the Lelylijn with the national roads A6/A7/A32. This Development Perspective determines whether it is worthwhile to realize Lelylijn.
Environment and participation
We are involving residents, administrators, civil society organizations and businesses in our search. We started our search with an online consultation. More than 11,000 residents shared their ideas and concerns. The results show that better accessibility and a strong economy are considered important. And that the line should have as few disadvantages as possible for the landscape, nature and local residents.
Brede Welvaart
We map out how the rail line can contribute to broad prosperity. In doing so, we look at current and future generations. This includes several important aspects, including: accessibility to jobs, disposable income, satisfaction with housing and living environment, and amenity levels. It also examines the effect the Lelylijn can have on the way people travel and its impact on the environment and climate.
International research
In the international study, we map the travelers and the costs for connecting to other countries. Here we are looking especially at Belgium and Germany with different solutions. For example, we look at the extent to which existing connections can help, but also whether new rails are needed.
