If there is a Lelylijn what does that mean for the underlying public transportation system?

Public transport experts from the Northern Netherlands discussed with each other in Assen the opportunities for “extra” nodes that can be cleverly linked to the Lelylijn. What does station or no station mean and what can we learn from the implementation of the Veendam – Zuidbroek railroad line or the Noord- Zuidlijn in Amsterdam.

We are already thinking about it because the underlying public transport network, connecting to a Lelylijn, is of essential value for greater reach and thus for the Brede Welvaart of the Northern Netherlands. Thereby it is essential for the functioning of the Lelylijn. Brede Welvaart reaches beyond the Lelylijn and the underlying public transport network is important for this. It also involves looking beyond economics. You also take into account aspects such as health, education and the environment.
