Investigations Lelylijn launched: Agencies to work on alternatives and Development Perspective
The Lelylijn project organization has commissioned agencies to conduct a number of follow-up studies for the Lelylijn study.
Studio Bereikbaar will elaborate the exploratory Charcoal Sketch into thinking directions in scenarios for the NOVEX Development Perspective. Studio Bereikbaar will examine a situation with and a situation without the Lelylijn, assuming the bundling of the Lelylijn with the A6/A7/A32 freeways. The programmatic tasks for the Lelyline area and their spatial repercussions are depicted.
The Development Perspective will be ready around the summer of 2024 to serve as the basis for decision-making for the Start Decision for a MIRT-Exploration for the Lelylijn in November 2024.
In addition to the Studio Bereikbaar assignment, in-depth studies are being conducted on the themes of economy, housing, nature & landscape.
Arcadis, in a consortium with PosadMaxwan, Significance and Berenschot, will conduct a study of several possible route alternatives for the Lelylijn. The researchers will work out the design of several alternatives and look at the potential costs of the design building blocks of the Lelylijn. These include
creating different timetables to fit the alternatives. The researchers are also looking at the operating costs, infrastructure design and estimation of the various Lelylijn building blocks. These building blocks deal with considerations around specific locations in the northern Netherlands or, for example, the impact around Amsterdam or toward Germany. Each building block involves different design challenges. The results will be presented for decision-making in the fall of 2024.
