Stijn Lechner: “De Lelylijn gives meaning to relationship North and rest of Netherlands”

The discussion surrounding the Lelylijn is about much more than building a rail line, says project director Stijn Lechner. The issue now on the table is what is the significance of the Lelylijn and what problems need to be solved with the construction. As director of project organization De Lelylijn Stijn Lechner wants to get everyone on the same page over the next two years. By the end of 2024, the decision must be made and a preferred variant must be in place. The aim is also to have a financially sound plan for the fast connection between the North and Randstad.
